David Lancaster DMS MASC
David is recognised in the UK and Canada as a crime prevention expert with over 36 years of experience supporting police forces, government and businesses; specialising in delivering BREEAM HEA 06, Secured by Design (SBD), Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) & Counter Terrorism Protective Security.
Trained at the United Kingdom Home Office Crime Prevention College he was selected to undergo specialist training at Security Service Headquarters in London and was successfully appointed as the Counter Terrorism Crime Prevention and Industrial Security Officer for Northamptonshire Police, later becoming the force’s first Counter Terrorist Security Adviser working with Police Special Branch officers assessing risk and advising businesses and key infrastructure site personnel on all matters regarding terrorist and animal activist crime prevention.
As a specialist in community safety, crime prevention design and counter terrorism, David has provided protective security advice during the development of the Daventry International Rail Freight Terminal, the International Freight Terminal, Port of Dover in Kent, the Global Transportation Hub in Regina Saskatchewan Canada and the Downtown Vancouver Business Improvement Area in British Columbia Canada.
David also has wide experience of working with the commercial sector where he developed a unique cost-effective approach for Ryder PLC that identified how business process change could reduce operational crime risk at all their UK sites.
Since leaving the police service David has established himself as an independent consultant specialising in working with PCPI Ltd supporting UK police forces and developers requiring BREEAM HEA 06

Member of project team that delivered local neighbourhood policing teams in Northamptonshire
Member of project team that developed and delivered the ParkMark scheme
Appointed as National Crime Prevention Lead for Police Operation GRIFFIN
Recipient of Northamptonshire Police Chief Officer and Superintendent awards
Recipient of the National Police Crime Prevention Lifetime Achievement award in 2018
David is particularly excited about continuing his career with CripSol and is keen to be a part of the team that delivers this important service. More recently David has supported Northamptonshire and Hertfordshire Police and Crime Commissioners in the delivery of the Home Office Safer Streets Fund projects
